而佳能方面官方至今也没有宣布日本地震海啸对佳能工厂产生影响的情况，只是在英文官方网站发布了佳能关注日本的灾难以及全力协助救灾，同时向红十字会及其他人道救援组织捐出3亿日元，并承诺进一步提供救灾所需物质，全文如下：
“On March 11, a major earthquake struck off the northeast coast
of Japan’s main island of Honshu, causing massive damage and loss
of life in the area.We at Canon extend our heartfelt condolences to
all those affected by this disaster and our thoughts go out to
those suffering in its aftermath. In addition, we hope that the
region will sustain no further damage and will soon be able to
begin the rebuilding and healing process.To aid in the relief
efforts for the earthquake victims, the Canon Group is making a
donation of 300 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society and
other humanitarian aid organizations, and will provide supplies as
needed.”

所以整体上看本次灾害对佳能生产所造成的影响暂时来说也是比较有限，虽然佳能自家供应相机的主要零部件，但和尼康相同的忧虑情况也很可能在后续中出现。
